Fast surface disinfection with COUNTERFOG® SDR-F05A+

نویسندگان

چکیده

COUNTERFOG® has been proposed as a rapid decontamination and disinfection technology that uses dynamic submicrometric-disinfecting fog cones. When projected onto surfaces, they create micrometre-thick film of disinfectant minimizing the use liquids impact on environment. The extremely thin is intended to be enough cover kill microorganisms simultaneously evaporate in few minutes—depending environmental conditions. In present work, experimental tests were carried out verify this hypothesis. These include physical characterization cone, measurement liquid flow surfaces well with series microorganisms. addition these results, operational recommendations are derived ensure reliability.

Advantages of Thermal Surface Disinfection

Cleaning and drying a surface with a non-germicidal detergent is effective against some pathogens, but not all. Pathogens like Salmonella and toxigenic E. coli (gram-negative microorganisms) are generally adapted to wet environments, and so an initial removal is achieved when the surface is wiped and then drying helps to kill more germs – but this takes time and one can’t count on drying to rem...

Fast, broad-range disinfection of bacteria, fungi, viruses and prions.

Effective disinfectants are of key importance for the safe handling and reprocessing of surgical instruments. This study tested whether new formulations containing SDS, NaOH and 1-propanol (n-propanol) are simultaneously active against a broad range of pathogens including bacteria, fungi, non-enveloped viruses and prions. Inactivation and disinfection were examined in suspension and on carriers...

Reduction of Acid-Fast and Non-Acid-Fast Bacteria by Point of Use Coagulation-Flocculation-Disinfection

Point of use (POU) household water treatment is increasingly being adopted as a solution for access to safe water. Non-tuberculous Mycobacteria (NTM) are found in water, but there is little research on whether NTM survive POU treatment. Mycobacteria may be removed by multi-barrier treatment systems that combine processes such as coagulation, settling and disinfection. This work evaluated remova...

A review of heterogeneous photocatalysis for water and surface disinfection.

Photo-excitation of certain semiconductors can lead to the production of reactive oxygen species that can inactivate microorganisms. The mechanisms involved are reviewed, along with two important applications. The first is the use of photocatalysis to enhance the solar disinfection of water. It is estimated that 750 million people do not have accessed to an improved source for drinking and many...

External surface disinfection of the lesser mealworm (Coleoptera: Tenebrionidae).

Understanding the dynamics of movement of bacteria within the environment and between species is crucial to unraveling the epidemiology of bacterial diseases and to developing biosecurity measures to prevent dissemination. Many arthropods, some beneficial and some detrimental, inhabit poultry houses. The lesser mealworm, Alphitobius diaperinus (Panzer) (Coleoptera: Tenebrionidae), is a pest com...
